Nestled in the market town of Kendal on the outskirts of the Lake District national park, the Castle Green Hotel is a luxurious 4* wedding venue set within 14 acres of spectacular gardens and woodlands. Overlooking Kendal Castle and the Lakeland Fells it is a truly breath-taking setting.
The hotel has a range of locations for your wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party and can accommodate between 25 to 250 guests, with ample accommodation for over-night guests.

We used Purple Swan for our wedding on the 18th November 2023 and I couldn't have been happier with how our venue looked. It was as if my Pinterest board had come to life and my dreams became a reality. Forever grateful for the help of the ladies in making our big day so beautiful.
We love purple swan! Absolutely Brilliant. Our venue looked amazing- we thought everything was perfect through the day for the ceremony and the venue as a whole, but we were then blown away by the set up for the wedding breakfast! It looked magical and everyone commented on how beautiful it was. Honestly the nicest theme/ decoration I’ve seen. We would highly recommend purple swan to anyone. Lovely friendly people too who work hard to ensure things are how you want them whilst using their own initiative and ideas to create amazing things. Thank you to Purple Swan for styling our wedding. The place looked absolutely beautiful and really fitted with the autumnal look we wanted, and the moon gate was gorgeous!Really professional service and loved that we could go and look around the warehouse at what we wanted!
Having an intimate wedding of only 19 in total, I wanted the evening meal to be cosy and pretty, and Purple Swan did just that.I was truly blown away when I walked through the door. After telling them what I like with log slices and some colours I left them to do their magic and I am so glad I trusted them to create such a beautiful room. From the lights around the room, to how the table was dressed and the beautiful chairs.All the guests couldn’t believe it was the same room! Everyone loved it!Very professional, fantastically priced and so good at what they do. I will certainly be recommending to friends and family.Thank you so much 😊
We were recently married at Cragwood Country House Hotel on Windermere which is beautiful. But the team at Purple Swan made it absolutely stunning! We were blown away at how pretty it looked and how everything tied together so beautifully. All of our guests commented on the blossom arch in particular, they really did an incredible job and we could not recommend them highly enough. Girls, you really did help to make our day, thank you all so so much!💗
We cannot rate purple swan more highly enough. From first contact to last minute requests, Carla & Luisa have been fantastic! The props and decorations are beautiful and the room looked better than we could of ever imagined. When I walked down the aisle I couldn't believe how stunning the room looked with blossom canopy trees and lanterns. The tables for the evening reception looked spectacular! We honestly can't praise the purple swan team enough.
